OPERATOR LICENCE COMPLIANCE AND UNDERTAKINGS AUDIT
Does your Operators Licence require a review of its systems and their implementation or are you unsure as to your compliance undertakings?
Would your systems and procedures stand up to a rigorous inspection by VOSA or at a Public Inquiry by the Traffic Commissioner?
Failure to comply with any of the aspects of the terms and undertakings of your Licence can lead to the Traffic Commissioner revoking, suspending or curtailing the Operators Licence through a Public Inquiry.
We advise operators to carry out a legal compliance audit of their systems at six monthly intervals depending on the size and complexity of their business.
If called to a Public Inquiry an operator will have to prove to the Traffic Commissioner that they have clear, well documented and clearly communicated policies and procedures in place to show that as far as reasonably practicable, all undertakings given at the time of issue or replacement are being adhered to.
Operators need to be proactive in their approac to Operator Licence compliance and undertakings, there is no point in being reactive in your approach once you are called to a Public Inquiry as this can prove extremely expensive once the deed is done.
