QUALITY AWARD FOR NEEDHAM LOGISTICS TRAINING
Following an assesment by an independent body, Needham Logistics Training Ltd has been awarded ISO 9001 certfification. This certfication has only been achieved by about 5% of UK business and this prestigous award is supported by the government and recognised world-wide.Roy Baker, Manager Director of Needham Logistics Training Ltd, said, "We have always been proud of the service we offer our customers and the way that we conduct our business. NEW TRAINING CENTRE OPENING IN BURY ST EDMUNDS
We are pleased to announce that Needham Logistics Training Ltd will be opening a newAccredited Forklift Operator Training centre in the Bury St Edmunds area on 1st January 2013. The new centre will be accredited by RTITB for Forklift Instructor and Operator courses as well as ADR, IMDG, HIAB, First Aid, Management CPC (Freight), PTTLS, Driver CPC and more.

DRIVING STANDARDS FOR LORRY DRIVERS
Information taken from DSA email dated 24th September 2012The DSA has today published new national Standards for lorry and bus drivers, which it has
developed with the haulage and passenger transport industries.
The National Driving Standard Category C (lorry) addresses specific issues such as the use of tachographs and the dangers of continuous driving.
They also outline what drivers need to know, to understand and be able to do in areas such as:
- preparing a vehicle and its occupants for a journey
- guiding and controlling a vehicle
- using the road in accordance with the Highway Code
- driving safely and responsibly in the traffic system
- reviewing and adjusting driver behaviour over a lifetime
NEW IMDG CODE LEARNING COURSE
IMDG Training is mandatory for all shore-side staff involved in dangerous goods transport bysea. Staff directly involved in dangerous goods operations must now have function-specific
training while general awareness training is required for those who although not directly
involved, do require a familiarisation with the IMDG Code provisions. Training records must be kept for Competent Authority inspection. Needham Logistics Training Ltd are pleased to
announce the addition of this course to our well established ADR Hazardous Goods by Road
listings.
